The plan was to have two weekends of major events at the Mississippi Valley Fair in Davenport.  The bad news is...they had to postpone the Night of Destruction because it's 2020 and we can't have anything nice.  The good news is...they've combined the two events into one amazing weekend!

So, now the "cheater" races on the 1/4 mile track will be happening Friday, September 18th ending with the ultra popular trailer destruction race. Saturday, September 19th is a traditional demo derby with multiple classes and heats.

Not only will both nights be nights of destruction...but there will also be crunching of a different kind.  In the hard shell taco and loud guitar varieties.

Sure...Taco Bash weekend will of course include muchos tacos...but it is the Mississippi Valley Fair...so, they're going to include all your fair food favorites such as Funnel Cakes, Corndogs, Taffy, Gyros, Ice Cream and SO much more.

Here's a list of venders you can expect to be at this weekends Taco Bash:

  • La Finca
  • Ganzo's
  • Jeff's Market
  • Smokin Butt BBQ
  • Westmorelands Fair Food
  • State Fair Taffy
  • Jada's Funnel Cake
  • Greek Garden Gyros
  • Peking Food

So obviously...when you're full on tacos & jacked up on the demolition...you're going to to need some music to sooth your soul.  Here's who you can expect:

Friday

  • Adam Keith - 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Dirt Road Rockers - Friday from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Saturday

  • The Crooked Cactus Band - Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Casey Muessigmann - Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Saturday will be the Last Bash Demo Derby at 4 p.m. and will cost $15 for adults and $10 for ages 6 to 12.

Entry into the Taco Bash & the music is free.  It's going to be an amazing weekend!

This is the original flyer...it's not actually September 12th.  It's the 18th. Pay attention.
