Taco Bell’s New Chicken Sandwich Has a National Release Date
As the Fried Chicken War rears its head again, every fast food chain has introduced, or reintroduced, their attempt at a fried chicken sandwich. While Taco Bell doesn't sell sandwiches, they still wanted to throw their hat in the ring.
Taco Bell originally tested their new chicken sandwich taco at locations in Nashville and Charlotte, with the promise that if they tested well they'd roll them out nationally by the end of the year. They're keeping their promise.
The company just announced that their Fried Chicken Taco, all-white meat crispy chicken marinated in jalapeño buttermilk, seasoned with bold Mexican spices, and rolled in a crunchy tortilla chip coating. The chicken sits in a taco-shaped warm soft flatbread with Taco Bell's creamy chipotle sauce.
They'll be available a la carte for $2.39, two for $4.49, or in a $5.49 Crispy Chicken Sandwich Box, which comes with a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Crunchy Taco, and medium fountain drink.
