Man Slapped A Subway Worker Because His Bread Was Hard
If you go out somewhere and pay to have a sandwich made, you want it made right. You want fresh ingredients, and a tasty product to stick in your mouth. When you don't get that, it's upsetting, and as we've seen rise over the years, sometimes people don't know what to do with that anger.
Investigators in Wildwood, Florida, have arrested 43-year-old Roy McIntosh for his poor choices of reaction to his bread not being fresh like is promised at Subway.
According to the police report, officers say McIntosh (6'2", 240 pounds) a wittness saw McIntosh become "verbally upset" about something, walked over and had a "brief verbal interaction."
During the interaction, McIntosh “suddenly struck [the worker] across the left side of his face with an open hand.” The surveillance footage showed to police showed the employee just took a step back in shock.
Police noted the employee had "visible redness and slight swelling to the left side of his face consistent with being struck.”
When police arrived, McIntosh was gone, but they tracked him down about 3 miles away. He confessed to slapping the sandwich artist, saying that the employee gave him "old stale bread" on his sandwich from the week before.
McIntosh said when he told the employee off, “he just began to laugh, which caused him to strike the victim.”
Police booked McIntosh into the county jail with a battery charge, and his bail was set at $1000, which he posted.
