Stranded Soldier Watches Daughter’s Birth in Airport Terminal Over FaceTime
Brooks Lindsey, a soldier in the Army, was unable to make it to the hospital in time for the birth of his daughter. But he had the next best thing: FaceTime.
The new father was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas and was traveling to Jackson, Mississippi somewhat unexpectedly. His wife has just found out she had to be induced a week earlier than they had planned.
But, as traveling goes, Brooks hit a flight delay at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Turns out that was for the best, with the expecting father still on the ground, he was able to use FaceTime and witness the birth. What's even better is somebody recorded his reaction.
The couple welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world and Brooks made it to the hospital just a few hours after she was born.
