A mother relays an interesting Starbucks order to surprise her daughter at work, she tells her daughter that her little sister is now cancer-free.

Starbucks employee Emily Mejia thought her mom was just stopping by to get a coffee, little did she know she was about to receive the best news ever!

Last year, 13-year-old Megan Mejia (Emily's little sister) was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Among six siblings, mom says that Emily and Megan are the closest.

Emily was devastated to find out her little sister had cancer. "Definitely the hardest thing I've ever been through... She was just kind of like 'let's get started and then get it over with.' We were on the floor crying, and it was a lot for us," Emily Said. (USA Today)

Every moment of Megan's cancer journey, her mother Cristine was there. For every round of harsh Chemotherapy and through a form of immunotherapy called CAR-T, Megan fought and her family prayed for good news.

Mother Christine was out running errands with her youngest son Ben when she got a life-changing call from the doctors. Her daughter's test results came back, 13-year-old Megan was now cancer-free.

"When I answered it, and I heard those words, I just started crying as a mama and hugging Ben, my youngest. And I didn't even think to go home and tell Megan, the patient," Christine Mejia said. "I was like, I've got to go tell Emily, and she was at work."

After sharing the news with Emily through a coffee order, Emily cried with joy. "After hearing so much bad news, it was just kind of like a breath of fresh air," said Emily. "I was just kind of like, is this real? Is this really happening?"
