These creatures may look cute with all those nuts shoved in their mouth, but these furry critters can be vicious. Don't believe that? Read this story:

Police in Slidell Louisiana received a call on April 26th about a crazy squirrel attack.

The caller was a 78-year-old man, he was actively being attacked by an angry squirrel while on the phone. The squirrel was eating the man's hand. He tried to choke the squirrel but was "unable to obtain a good grip."

Police quickly arrived at the scene where they found the crazed squirrel still eating the man's hand.

With the help of the officers, the squirrel was...um... put in a forever timeout... and the elderly man was hospitalized with significant injuries.

Who knew a creature so small could cause so much damage? Oh yeah, EVERYONE!

Slidell PD said, experts say it is very rare for squirrels to attack people but it has been known to happen. “A diseased squirrel may be more likely to show aggressive or hostile behavior towards human beings. However, when a squirrel does attack, it is not always possible to determine why,” said the Slidell Police Department in the report.

This is not the first squirrel attack Slidell PD has ever responded to. Their first squirrel attack occurred in February, during a Mardi Gras parade.

The squirrel must have been partying too hard...
