Speeder Caught Using Mannequin to Cheat Carpool Lane

The Washington State Patrol pulled over a speeder who was going 81mph in the carpool lane. That driver was also ticketed for cheating the HOV lane when it was discovered his "young lady" passenger was a mannequin.

While there is no law against taking life-size dolls for a drive, they do not qualify as a passenger for carpooling.

"Maybe that was a real person to him," Trooper Todd Bartolac said. "In Washington, we're open to a lot of different things."
