Woodworking is an incredibly fulfilling hobby, and it allows you to create some truly remarkable items in your home or office. With the right tools and knowledge, you can make anything from cabinets to coffee tables to beds for yourself or as gifts for friends and family members. When you’re starting out, it’s good to keep in mind that not every woodworking project has to be huge; while there are certainly big woodworking projects that can take months of work, they aren’t always necessary if all you want is a simple piece of furniture or cabinet to show off in your home.

Woodworking requires a large collection of tools. These include both basic hand tools, like chisels and hammers, as well as power tools such as table saws and drills. Some woodworkers prefer to work with traditional hand-tool techniques and eschew power tools completely.

That's where Sound Foundation comes into play.  You probably don't have the money to be spending on these tools especially if you're just starting out with this hobby.

We have  a wide variety of fun classes that help you build basic foundation skills and beyond. We offer high end woodworking hand tools and hardwood lumber.

They're opening a new location!

Our new facility is a 16,000 sq foot building in Milan. Previously it was a manufacturing building for workout equipment. It's DIRTY! We're working on that right now! We've added LED lighting, cleaned all the wall, ceilings and floors in the 4000 foot classroom section.

Going Green

This section has Geothermal heat and cooling along with heated floors! Solar power is being added to keep us green as we can.

Congrats to Sound Foundation for their new place at 1130 w 15th ave Milan, Illinois.
