Third time's a charm, as they say.  The third Record Store Day of the year is upon us.  This Saturday, October 24, 2020 head to your local independent record store to pick up some rare items from some of your favorite bands and artists.

You may remember, the normal Record Store Day is in Spring...then a smaller one on the weekend after Thanksgiving.  But since corona has ruined everything we don't get nice things.

Or do we.  Because I can handle a record store day every month if that's what we need to do.  You know.  Doing our part.

Jon from Ragged Records in Rock Island said they're doing their Record Store Day records in the courtyard next to the store again. This time around they're also doing "Records For Wendy" with $2 LPs for sale and all the money from that sale goes to their friend Wendy to help her in her battle against breast cancer.

Ragged Records is open from 9AM - 5PM at 311 21st Street Rock Island, IL (next to Rozz Tox)

This is a socially distant event and masks are required. Please give people their personal space and use the hand sanitizer available.

Coop Records is open on Saturday from 9am-9pm at 3727 Avenue of the Cities Moline, IL

Last month the new 7" single from Einstein's Sister came out and is now available everywhere.  You can also get rare stuff from The Who, Rolling Stones, Beck, Johnny Cash, Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, Eminem, Miles Davis, Toto, UFO and lots more.

They'll be requiring masks, offer sanitizing, have 6 ft spacing stickers clearly displayed for those standing in line.  Normally RSD product is right inside the entrance...but now they've got it spread throughout the store to decrease crowding.

The Underground in Clinton will be open too with all sorts of rare vinyl and collectibles. If you haven't been up North for a while...make sure you stop in & check out their awesome store.
