The ride we Iowans know as RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) is no more.

T.J. Juskiewicz, who's been the director of the ride for the past 16 years, and his fellow RAGBRAI staff have stepped down citing the lack of transparency between riders and the Des Moines Register and their parent company Gannett/USA Today.

Juskiewicz tells KCCI's Alex Schuman in an interview that, "Today, I, as RAGBRAI director, will resign that post that I’ve held for 16 years, as well as my entire staff. We put our heart and soul into this event, but when our principles are compromised, we just can't go on."

Read more at KCCI, and they'll have more of Alex's interview tonight.
