Quad City Chefs Competing in Charity “Iron Chef” Competition

Food lovers of the Quad Cities, get ready! The Davenport Country Club is hosting the Iron Chef Competition and Benefit this Tuesday, April 5th!

The Davenport Country Club will be creating entrees for members and guests to enjoy. The dish that receives the most votes will be featured on the next menu!

This event is open to the public and all benefits and proceeds will go towards medical and rehab expenses for culinary team member Brandon "Jay" Wallace, who is currently recovering from a stroke.

The most recent update for this event shows that there are 5 teams ready to compete in the competition. Chef Aaron McMahon has chosen 5 proteins and 10 ingredients which were randomly selected by each team. The teams have to use their selected items along with additional ingredients to make an amazing dish!

This event sounds like a Quad Cities version of Hells Kitchen! Minus the screaming.

For $40/person cash or check at the door, guests get to watch, taste, and vote for their favorite as the entire DCC kitchen staff battles it out to see whose dish will come out on top!
