Quad Cities Will Host Midwest Government Contracting Symposium

May 20^th and 21^st the Iowa-Illinois Branch of the National Defense Industrial Association will be hosting the 13^th Midwest Government Contracting Symposium.

The Quad Cities is home to hundreds of businesses in the government and particularly defense industry supply chain. This event will be bringing people in nationwide to learn about a variety of topics. The event is one of the cornerstones of the Quad Cities efforts to make sure that the businesses here can compete for their fair share of government dollars especially with regards to Arsenal Island. One of the primary topics of interest to the community will be how the government is finally stepping up in the realm of cyber security and demanding the same from their contractors. This is a major concern for individuals and organizations in general and in particular for those wanting to do government work.
