Cop Showed Up To Virtual Court In Uniform Shirt, No Pants
When the virtual meetings became the go-to during the pandemic lockdowns, we can all admit to doing the "Dressed up, but not down" where you have a dress shirt or top on, but comfy (or no) pants on below the camera. You appear well dressed, but you're comfortable.
A cop trying to do the same thing wasn't aware of how wide of an angle his web cam had when he logged in to a virtual court session.
Detroit Police's Officer Matthew Jackson showed up to Zoom court wearing his uniform shirt and badge, but was very clearly just in his underwear below.
He wasn't sitting behind a table; he's on a couch, and it looks like he's got his phone or laptop on a coffee table.
Judge Sean Perkins was surprised at what he was seeing on his screen, and asked him, "You got some pants on, cuz? Officer?"
Officer Jackson replied "No, sir" and moved his camera so the shot showed him from the waist up, and the hearing progressed as normal.
