Old Chicago Hosting Fundraiser For Employee With Cancer
Old Chicago in Bettendorf is the hosting location for one of their employees that is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer, organized by her coworkers.
Monica has been an employee at Old Chicago for over five years, where she has been a great addition to the team, a friend to coworkers and customers, and a confidant to more. She is also a single mother to six and a grandmother.
On Tuesday, June 6th, she underwent surgery and has started chemotherapy and radiation to battle small cell neuroendocrine cervical cancer - a very rare and very aggressive cervical cancer. She will be unable to work during her treatment in any capacity.
Friend and Family Supporting Monica is hosting a fundraiser evening on Wednesday, July 12th from 5-8pm to raise funds that will go directly to Monica.
During the time, those wanting to support Monica can go to Old Chicago and participate in their raffle for prizes, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction.
Donations of gift cards, cash, or gift baskets are available as well.
