Myth: Day Before Thanksgiving is the Busiest Travel Day of the Year

For years it has been "common knowledge" that traveling the day before Thanksgiving is a nightmare because it's the busiest travel day of the year. Turns out that's just a myth.

According to Airlines for America, "it is not considered one of our 'busy' days." As far as Thanksgiving traveling, Wednesday isn't even the busiest travel day of the holiday week, that would be the following Sunday.
