M/V Mississippi Towboat Open House Cancelled

The open house tours of the nation's largest diesel towboat in the U.S. have been cancelled for Davenport and Dubuque, citing COVID-19 precautions.

According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, it isn't just the two stops in our area that are cancelled.

"The Mississippi River Commission has cancelled the entire leg of the trip on the Upper Mississippi and the vessel will be returning south," they wrote in a Facebook comment.

Hopefully the boat will come through again soon, because I was really looking forward to this one.
