Man Who Offered Marine $25,000 to Kill His Ex-Girlfriend Arrested

Detectives in Travis County, Texas arrested a man after the Marine he tried to hire to kill his ex-girlfriend turned him in.

62-year-old Keith James Cote was arrested and charged with soliciting to commit capital murder. Cote had told veteran Marine Joey Sees that he needed a "dirty deed, done dirt cheap." The two were acquaintances who met last year at a barbecue.

Cote had asked if Joey could get a silencer and a 9mm pistol and offered him $10,000 to kill his ex-girlfriend. An additional $15,000 was offered if Cole could watch him kill the target. He told the Marine he wanted his help because "he had killed people before and that this would be right up his alley."

Joey helped officials by obtaining substantial video evidence against Cote. The footage below shows Cote detailing the crime to the Marine:
