A man from Pennsylvania was sentenced to five years in prison on weapons charges after federal prosecutors say he used a drone to drop explosives near his ex-girlfriend's home.

Jason Muzzicato, 45, was arrested in June 2019 after authorities raided his Washington Township home and his auto shop.

Authorities say they were investigating a series of small explosions that had bothered a neighborhood for several weeks.

The search of the two locations turned up numerous guns and ammo that Muzzicato wasn't supposed to have due to his ex-girlfriend having a protection from abuse order against him.

He says he had the guns because he was a victim of harassment, with vehicles of his and of customers being vandalized at his business.

Muzzicato denied flying the drone, but eventually plead guilty to two weapons possession charges and flying an unregistered aircraft.
