Man Passed Note in Bank Drive-Thru Demanding Money
A man is sitting in jail after possibly the worst bank robbery attempt in history.
The South State Bank called police after a man passed a note to them through the pneumatic tube on Tuesday, threatening violence.
“The note read in part to put money from all the drawers or he would kill,” the police warrants state.
Officers state they arrived and observed a man waving his arms wildly around inside the vehicle.
They commanded him to raise his hands in the air, before pulling Angel Masdev out of the back of a vehicle.
Masdev was wearing a mask at the time of the incident, which has been added to his charges.
Angel's facing charges of entering a bank with the intent to steal, attempted bank robbery and wearing masks.
He's being held without bail.
