When Matt Goodman was 15 years old, he lost his father to cancer. Before he passed, his dad gave Matt's sister a $10 bill, and told her to give it to Matt on his 21st birthday to buy him his first beer.

Not long after he tweeted, his story went viral. “I know the hardest thing for my dad was the things he was going to miss out on,” Casey Goodman, Matt’s sister, told Boston 25. “Anyone who knew my dad knew he was this goofy, larger-than-life of-the-party guy, and my little brother was his entire world.” Matt shared photos of the $10 bill and the beer he bought with it, which was a Bud Light, and that caught the attention of Budweiser. They tweeted him back with a kind message.

The next thing he knew, people were asking for his Venmo to buy him a beer, but he asked anyone interested to make a donation to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, who he says helped his dad a lot when he was sick.
