Kings Harvest Kolsch: Craft Beer for a Great Cause

Charlie Cole, from Blue Cat Brewing Company, brought in a freshly tapped beer called Kings Harvest Kolsch.  The Kolsch style could be called an Imperial German Blonde Ale in that it's light, crisp, and refreshing.  This one sits at 6.2% ABV and has a nice whiff of hops upfront with a

Those hops, of course, are German Hops.  In fact this beer is made up of all German ingredients.

So, how did this name come about?

Local beer enthusiasts, Grandma Carol and Cadillac Dave, talked to Charlie about wanting to see what it was like to brew a beer so he threw them right in the brew house and had them brew this beer while he guided them through it.  When this sort of "collaboration" happens, Blue Cat likes to donate to a charity...to which they decided on Kings Harvest Pet Rescue.
