Joliet Prison From “The Blues Brothers” Burns Down
The Joliet Correctional Center from the opening scene of "The Blues Brothers" caught fire and burned down over the weekend. Somebody who wanted to see the filming location first spotted the flames.
The prison has been used for several films and closed in the early 2000s. "The Blues Brothers" was the first movie and probably the most popular one to use the prison.
