Jeopardy! Contestant Gets Alex Trebek to Say “Dick Tree”

Austin Rogers finally lost on Jeopardy! last night, after winning more than $400,000. He also introduced us to a new, potentially dirty phrase.

He was working through the Tree category when he was given the clue, "slang for a detective." He was unsure of the correct response, so Austin said, "What is a, oh god, a dick?"

Which resulted in Alex Trebek saying, “I know nothing about a dick tree, but there is a gum tree, or gumshoe.”
