I love to cook and if you do too, you'll want to be aware of this recall from Walmart. The grocery store giant recently recalled a cooking tool that helps you chop up vegetables and other small foods.

If you've seen the Walmart recall that affects customers in Illinois, you already know what I'm about to tell you. For those who haven't heard, make sure you return the Mainstays Electric Mini Chopper you have at home.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Walmart has recalled this product exclusively sold at its stores because "The chopper’s blade can operate unexpectedly during assembly or when not enclosed in the container, posing a laceration hazard to consumers."

Walmart has recalled 51,750 units of the Mainstays Electric Mini Choppers. Walmart officials say consumers should immediately stop using the recalled choppers, and contact Walmart to receive a full refund.

There have been injuries reported which has sparked Walmart to make this recall.

Walmart claims they have received five reports of lacerations. Two of those required medical attention, including stitches. The reports say that the injuries occurred during the assembly of the product or during the cleaning/handling of the product.

If you own one of these choppers, head to your nearest Walmart store. It will get you between $10 to $15 back.
