Another restaurant has closed in Iowa over the weekend. This pizza place has been a popular location for kid's birthday parties and a fun place for kids to play games and have fun.

Over the past few years, the Chuck E. Cheese location at 903 E Kimberly Rd. in Davenport has become of place not many people go anymore. People have been pretty nervous since 1 person was killed there in October of 2020.

Shooting At Chuck E Cheese's In Davenport

On October 25, 2020, Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired inside Chuck E. Cheese at 7:38 p.m. When officers arrived, they found 29-year-old Eloise Chairs unresponsive. Officials say the victim received medical attention at the scene, but the victim was transported to Genesis East where she was pronounced deceased.

In July of 2021, Treshonda Pollion, 25, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter, a Class C felony. She pleadded guilty earlier that year in April. Pollion was sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to KWQC.

Chuck E Cheese's Closes Davenport Location

Speaking of the folks at KWQC. Over the weekend, TV6 broke the news that Chuck E Cheese's will be closing its doors on Sunday, April 7th. Yes, it's now officially closed.

KWQC heard back from a spokesperson from the company who said that they are always evaluating their real estate and development strategies to ensure these align with their strategic goals. "We made the difficult decision to close effective Sunday, April 7. We will continue to seek new opportunities for families to enjoy Chuck E. Cheese and remain committed to delivering fun, family-friendly experiences across all our locations and appreciate the ongoing support from our communities.”
