Meet The Iowa Puppies Playing In Puppy Bowl XXI
The best game, really.
The Super Bowl is great, with good snacks, funny commercials, etc. But even I, a football fan, flip back and forth between it and the Puppy Bowl.
And this year, 6 of the over 130 puppies will be from Iowa.
The pups came from AHeinz57 Pet Rescue and Transport in De Soto, which has had puppies in the Puppy Bowl before.
The orange bandanas are Team Ruff, while the blue bandanas are Team Fluff. Puppy Bowl XXI will start at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, available for streaming/broadcast on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, Max, and Discovery+.
You can adopt the puppies in the Puppy Bowl. My landlady won't let me take them all but the pups you see in the game are up for adoption. I can confirm that my adopted pets are constantly one of the best life decisions I've ever made. I highly recommend adopting a pet.
If you see one you want in the Puppy Bowl, go to Discovery or Animal Planet's website to see what shelter the dog comes from and reach out to them directly.
AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport is hosting a Puppy Bowl Tailgate Party at Paws & Pints in Des Moines from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. They will have adoptable pups at the event too.
Meanwhile, as we wait for both the Super Bowl and the Puppy Bowl this Sunday, scroll down to see this year's Puppy Bowl pups from Iowa!
