How You Can Have Fun & Help Our Students in the Moonlight Chase
We are mere days away from the 2022 Moonlight Chase in Eldridge and you can not only glow but you can also help out our area students!
The Moonlight Chase will be on July 9th and you're encouraged to wear your best glow-in-the-dark gear (which you could win cash for!) but you have a way to save money too!
Moonlight Chasers can donate some of your sneakers at Fleet Feet on Elmore Avenue. You'll get a $10 off coupon for some new kicks that day!
The shoes you donate will go to "Sneakers for Funds", which will recycle the sneakers and the proceeds raised from it will go towards the North Scott High School Track and Cross Country teams!
You don't have to be a runner to do the Moonlight Chase but you should definitely put on your best glow gear or glow paint! Luminaries will light the course for you to run or walk. The 1/4 mile kids race will kick off at 7:30 p.m., the 1-mile kids race will begin at 8:00 p.m., and the adults' 4-mile race will begin at 9:00 p.m. (I've been training to run it so I'll see you there!)
The Run Itself Is For Good Local Causes
Besides the Sneakers For Funds, the Moonlight Chase will be supporting local civic projects like the Scott County Library System, the Eldridge Volunteer Fire Department, Long Grove Fire Department, North Scott Post Prom, Hometown Holiday, and more.
Ready to glow? You can register and get more details on the race on Moonlight Chase's website here.
