How to Watch “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” in 2021
Watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" has been a constant in my life ever since I can remember. The tradition continued when I had kids. It's one of the most loved TV specials ever.
The Peanuts special started airing back in 1966 on CBS as a yearly special, but in later years it's been tougher to find in regular programming. Here's how you can watch this beloved special this year.
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown will air on PBS and PBS Kids on Sun., Oct. 24, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. ET. and as an added bonus the broadcast will be aired without ads.
PBS reps say the program will not be available on your station’s livestream on PBS.org or the PBS App. However, if you watch your local PBS station via YouTube TV, you will be able to stream it there.
The Halloween special is only 25 minutes long even though it seemed longer when we watched it as kids. Don't look for It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime. It's not there.
Your best bet to watch the special when you want to watch it is through Apple TV+. You can get a free trial of AppleTV+ (some mobile providers offer it, and you can snag three free months with the purchase of select Apple products), you’ll be able to stream It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown without paying for the subscription. Within the three months, you'll also be able to catch the Peanuts Thanksgiving and Christmas specials too
