How Long Do “Bans” Last ?
Just for grins, next time you're in WalMart check the bins in the music department and see if you can find Sheryl Crow's self-titled second album in them. Back in 1996, WalMart banned the album from their stores because lyrics in the song "Love is a Good Thing" portrayed WalMart in a bad light. Their response was to ban the record from their stores, a decision that was made about a week before the album was released.
So it's been 19 years ... do you think it's in their stores now? That album was a monster by the way, selling over 4-Million copies and winning 2 Grammy's.
