They say it's better to be safe than sorry - but the sorry is going to be whoever made this 911 call when the call eventually goes public.

Bridgewater police responded to a caller's report about a camoflauged man who was carrying a bazooka, but it turned out to nto be anything close to the report.

The call was placed around 10:40am on May 23rd, directing police to the area of South and Pleasant streets in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

The location was a prominent road in the town

“When you get one call on it and they’re out on a main road, it is something to take into account,”  Lt. Scott Hile said. "You never know."

The department sent an officer over to investigate, because that was too weird of a threat to not investigate, and was able to clear up the confusion pretty quick. The "Camoflauged man with a bazooka" was actually a landscaper using a leaf blower.

“You’re better off calling and reporting something than ignoring it and having it be something worse,” Lt Hile said.
