A Florida Woman was arrested after deputies say she torched her husband's house.

On Monday morning, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office got a call about a house fire in Homosassa, Florida. The caller told 911 that the fire was started not by accident, but intentionally by 40-year-old Melissa Dunham of Orlando.

According to an arrest affidavit, Dunham's 18-year-old son told deputies that his parents had a rocky marriage for several years, and had been living apart. He also said that his mom had been staying with him and the husband for about two weeks.

The son said that she came over to be with the him and the husband to celebrate his birthday, and during their outing, Dunham and her husband decided to rekindle their marriage.

According to the affidavit, Dunham and her husband began arguing often during the two weeks, and the arguments usually began with Dunham claiming that her husband was too busy for her.

The son said he watched the mom have 'outrages' and fits of violence where she would shout and throw things around the house.

He also said he thinks she's been abusing drugs, even though he didn't think she'd been taking any of the drugs she was actually prescribed.

The affidavit stated that deputies made several calls for service at the South Powell Point home the night before for verbal disputes.

The son said he was over it, didn't want to be part of their relationship, and planned to leave in the morning. When he woke up the next morning, the power was out from what he was assuming was non-payment.

The teen's father was sitting in his car charging his phone when Dunham came out of the house with a few bags of her things, and two dogs on a leash.

As she walked by her husband, she told him "Now, we both don’t have s**t."

Moments later, the son realized the house was on fire, and smoke was billowing out of the windows.

Everybody was pretty clear on what happened, and when deputies grabbed Dunham, they found methamphetamine and marijuana in her purse.
