Hop Trials with Geneseo Brewing Co is What’s Tappening?

Geneseo Brewing Company Head Brewer, Glenn Cole, made a flight of hoppy beers and gives you some education on these “wicked weeds”.

Glenn has brewed small batches of three pale ales and three IPAs. Each of these six beers were brewed with one single hop to showcase the bitterness, flavor, and aroma of each hop. Learn a bit about this history of brewing with hops, what “IBUs” are, and the characteristics of each of the following hops:

Enigma
Wakatu
Mosaic
Medusa
Motueka
Azacca

Today we sampled beers brewed with Enigma & Mosaic hops. It's super interesting how the hops take on the flavors of the environment in which they grow in order to make their own distinct flavor.
