Hiking Family Stand Their Ground When Charged by Bear

Tigran Avakian and his family were hiking the Monrovia Falls Trail when they came upon a black bear who did not like the idea of humans being in its territory.

The husband and father started recording video moments before the bear charged the group. Working against the bear's predatory instincts, the adults stood their ground and started waving their arms and yelling. The bear was successfully scared off and the family cautiously made their way to the car.

As Tigran said, "When the bear charges, always stand your ground! Change pants later..."
