Heavy Metal Influence…?

Today, back in 1968, after the 18th and final "take" ... Ringo Starr screamed .."I got blisters on my fingers !!!..."  and the song Helter Skelter was done... finished ... that's it, put it on the album ..!     They even mixed his scream into the end of the song.  Many people thought that was John Lennon with the scream, but it was Ringo.

So it has been said by a few, that song was an influence on the first generation of heavy metal... maybe .... what do you think ?
