Many of you know that my wife and I have two daughters that were born with Scoliosis and have gone through spinal fusion surgery. It's one of the most invasive procedures any kid (or adult) can go through. The doctors and staff at the Stead Family Children's Hospital and at the University of Iowa Hospitals are the absolute BEST.

That being said, I wanted to give a shout to Chance and his family. They're going through a very hard time and need some help. A GoFundMe Page was started yesterday for the family after Chance was airlifted to Iowa City earlier this week.

From their GoFundMe page...

Our nephew, Chance, is a 17 year old junior at Calamus Wheatland in Iowa. Chance had back surgery due to scoliosis on February 21st in Iowa City. After going home following surgery, he developed complications and was airlifted to Iowa City on Monday, the 25th. Chance was sedated, paralyzed, and on the ventilator. He is currently battling an infection and inflammation of an unknown cause, with complications involving his heart.

The doctors are working to find the best course of action for Chance. There are many unknown answers right now. Chance and his family need your prayers. If you are able, any donation would be greatly appreciated since this has lead to unexpected expenses for Chance's family.
If you want to follow updates on Chance's story, you can follow his story on  listed as "Chance's story".

Thank you so much for lifting this family up in prayer and helping during a very difficult time.

Anything you can do to help the family would be greatly appreciated. The link to the GoFundMe is above and here. We thank you very much.
