A pretty amazing fundraiser, developed by Bill Christman, is happening right under our noses here in the Quad Cities. Bill decided it wasn't enough to just say, "Thanks" to the Special Forces in harms way for protecting the freedoms we enjoy. He wanted to make a personal statement to the families of those killed in action. He and his organization, THANK THE SEALs, ride to the hometowns of these fallen heroes and hand deliver a check to their families, with no strings attached.

Coming up in July, they'll have a huge dinner followed by a ride the next day, but before that they are still raising funds. In fact they raise funds all year long, but I digress.

This Saturday from from 1-5pm,  Blackhawk Electric in East Moline is hosting a fundraiser for them and I invite you to stop by. 100% of the funds from this fundraiser goes to the Thank The SEALs organization.

Stop out for raffles, silent auctions, petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting and even a dunk tank. The list of goodies they have is way to long to list individually, so I'll direct you to the Blackhawk Electric Fundraiser For Thank The SEALs Organization event page for a better look.

Last and certainly least, there will be a couple of special guests. Retired SEALs, Sonny Manson and Brendan Weimholt will be there. Both played in the movie Act of Valor.
