Florida Principal Arrested for Making Student Rub Her Feet As Punishment

Authorities investigate a disturbing incident at Middle School in Sarasota, Florida.

A Polk County middle school assistant principal has been arrested following allegations of inappropriate behavior with a 13-year-old male student, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Dr. Keiva Lark, 53, an administrator at Lake Marion Creek Middle School in Poinciana, faces charges of lewd and lascivious conduct, as well as lewd behavior against a student by an authority figure. The school’s principal reported the incident to authorities on April 4, prompting an immediate investigation. Lark has since been placed on administrative leave while officials examine the case.

Incident Unfolds in Administrator’s Office

According to deputies, the incident occurred when the student was sent to Lark’s office for a disciplinary issue. Witnesses, including the victim, stated that Lark instructed the student to rub her feet, claiming he had nothing better to do with his hands. She then removed her shoes, placed her legs across the student’s lap, and directed him to proceed.

When the student failed to meet her expectations, Lark allegedly demonstrated by rubbing his arm and shoulder. A witness reported hearing Lark tell the student to massage her feet “like he loved her.” She also allegedly remarked that she was teaching him about foreplay for when he had a girlfriend.

Authorities Take Swift Action

A co-worker later reported to detectives that Lark admitted she had “crossed the line” during the encounter. Additionally, the student disclosed in a forensic interview that Lark had previously called him “Sexy Chocolate” in the school hallway.

Although Lark acknowledged that her actions were inappropriate for an educator, she denied making any inappropriate remarks to the student, deputies said.

School and Law Enforcement Respond

Polk County Schools Superintendent Frederick Heid condemned Lark’s behavior, stating, “This is abhorrent behavior for anyone who works among students, especially an administrator. This person no longer has any business being around children.” He also commended the school principal for reporting the incident promptly, ensuring law enforcement could intervene to protect students.

Lark is now facing legal proceedings as the investigation continues.
