Florida Man Scared After Finding Angry Animal Splashing In His Toilet
A Florida man was surprised when he found an iguana hissing at him from inside his toilet.
Meanwhile In Florida...
John Riddle, a resident of Hollywood, Florida, had a nerve-racking experience when he encountered a reptile that he didn't welcome, making him feel extremely uncomfortable. Riddle recounted the incident to 7News, stating that a visit to his bathroom on Friday left him spooked.
“I thought I was in ‘Jurassic Park’ or something,” he said.
The source of the nasty surprise: an iguana sitting in his toilet bowl.
“He was splashing and hissing at me,” he said. “I was scared. I’m not a reptile fan.”
How Did The Iguana Get In The Toilet?
Riddle discovered that the bathroom door adjacent to his pool deck at his residence on North Hills Drive was still ajar. As he attempted to shut it, he came face-to-face with a scaly intruder.
When the creature turned towards him and revealed its gaping mouth, Riddle instinctively retreated to analyze the situation. The iguana disappeared into the toilet, prompting Riddle to keep a level head while strategizing his next move. He promptly secured the area with a baby gate to prevent the creature from escaping and possibly entering his bedroom.
How Did He Get It Out?
“I came back probably a little less than an hour later, and there he was again, splashing around,” he said. “This was my chance, and I was trying to work up the nerve to grab him and throw him out, but before I did that, he crawled out, and crawled, like, behind the toilet, and that’s when I grabbed the strainer and shooed him out.”
Riddle shared an interesting anecdote about how an iguana ended up in his backyard after diving into his pool. He admitted that it happened because he had left the door open while taking his dogs for a walk, which was a mistake he wouldn't make again.
Though it was a unique experience, he hoped that it wouldn't be repeated in the future. Luckily, the reptile was unharmed and he was glad to see it leave his home for good.
