Stranded in Kissimmee:

Tensions Boil OverA Florida man sporting a T-shirt that read “I Never Argue” was arrested after a heated dispute with a female acquaintance turned violent, according to police reports.

Daniel Murillo, 44, allegedly attacked a 24-year-old woman, repeatedly punching her in the head while they sat inside a BMW parked outside an Econo Lodge in Kissimmee. The pair had originally traveled from Tampa but became stranded when their vehicle broke down. After running out of money for their hotel stay, they resorted to sleeping in the car while trying to fix it and secure a tow, authorities said.

Dispute Escalates to Assault

Murillo claimed he had been in a romantic relationship with the woman for several months, but she denied this to police. Tensions flared when their efforts to arrange for a AAA tow were unsuccessful. The frustration led to an argument that quickly turned physical.

The victim told officers that Murillo, already upset over their situation, lashed out in anger. When police arrived, they noted she had visible swelling and bumps on her head, which appeared to be fresh injuries.

The angry man clenched his fist. Concept of violence.

Murillo’s Defense and Arrest

Murillo told officers he hit the woman only in response to her striking him first. He also alleged she threw urine at him from a cup they had inside the vehicle, which led to him breaking the car’s windows in retaliation.

After assessing the situation, officers determined Murillo was the aggressor and took him into custody on a misdemeanor battery charge. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail on a $1,000 bond and is expected to appear in court this afternoon.
His “I Never Argue” T-shirt was swapped for a jail-issued uniform.
