It's about time for the largest paddlesport festival on the world's greatest river!

FLOATZILLA

You can help set a new world record for the Largest Raft of Canoes/Kayaks. All paddle crafts are welcome to attend, but only kayaks and canoes may participate in the World Record Attempt. It's all going down Saturday, August 21, 2021

World Record

Come out for a great time and help set a world record! 2019's group count was 1,234. 3,150 was achieved in 2014 in Inlet, New York.

Afterward there will be a huge party with live music from Condor & Jaybird, Chrash, and Subatlantic.

According to the Floatzilla Facebook page:

Welcome to River Action's annual paddle event on the Mississippi River, Floatzilla! On August 21 paddlers will launch from five sites across the Quad Cities to take over the river for the day. We work with the US Coast Guard to close the river and have a team of safety boats on the water to make sure everyone makes it to Lake Potter in Rock Island, IL, safely. At Lake Potter there are a selection of local food trucks and live music for participants to enjoy. Once everyone arrives at the lake we will all group up to try to set the record for largest flotilla of kayaks and canoes! After the world record attempt we provide shuttles back to the launch sites.
Registration prices:
June 15 through August 17 = $30
August 17 through August 21 = $35
Camping is available at Lindsay Park or on Credit Island in Davenport on both Friday and Saturday nights. The cost is $12 per tent per night.
Packet Pick up will be from 5-7 PM at the Credit Island Lodge on Friday, August 20.
You can get registered by clicking here:

Reminder! Paddlers can also sign up at Lake Potter on the day of the event.
