49-year-old Jeff Evans was fishing for trout at Silverbell Lake, Arizona earlier this month when he hooked a fish that tried to take a bite out of him.

What fisherman found at the end of his line was a pacu, a cousin to the piranha. The invasive species is typically found in the fresh waters of South America.

The three-pound fish tried to bite Jeff several times with its human-like teeth. As strange as that sounds, Jeff says this is the second time in 20 years that he's caught a fish like this.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department believe that the species was introduced to the lake by people illegally releasing the fish from their aquariums when they grow too large.
