Famous ‘Wayne’s World’ Car Sold Recently. What Movie Memorabilia Would You Pay For?

Movie memorabilia has plenty of collectors.  From actual items used in the actual movie to things inspired by the silver screen, there are plenty of collectibles and plenty of people willing to shell out cold hard cash to get their hands on whatever they can.

Do you remember the first time you saw your favorite movie? The opening scene, the score that played, and how it made you feel? Perhaps you were on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what happened next, or maybe you were laughing at something silly that happened in the story. Either way, it’s likely that no matter how old you are now, there’s still a movie that has special meaning to you and that sticks with you to this day. Now more than ever, movie memorabilia can help those feelings come back—and that might just be just what the doctor ordered.

I suppose if I had expendable income or won the lottery I would have a bigger collection, but in the meantime I'll have to stick with my Todd McFarlane "Nightmare on Elm Street" action figures.

There's regular movie memorabilia collecting and then there's movie scenes that become iconic.  Does that make it more "worthy" of a higher price tag?  Seems so.

The "Wayne's World" Mirthmobile sold at auction for $71,500, which is a record price for an AMC Pacer. 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the movie.  The car of course was form the most famous scene from Wayne's World...the infamous "Bohemian Rhapsody" head bang jam which brought a new generation a new appreciation for the song.
