There's one thing we can all agree on, and it's that the Field of Dreams game last week was worth every ounce of the hype it was given. The Field was perfect, the environment was perfect, and the game even ended perfectly. It was a great day for baseball, and left us all wanting more.

Answering the call for another game, the MLB is planning for the 2022 edition of the game. According to NBC Sports Chicago's Gordon Wittenmyer, the game will take place on August 11th of next year.

The teams facing off on the neutral field will be the Chicago Cubs, and the Cincinnati Reds.

“I think it’s pretty clear we’re going to be back next year, and we’ll have to talk about it after that,” MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said last week. “But it’s just been so successful that it’s hard not to take the opportunity to do it again.”

The two teams will take on each other in Dyersville as part of their three game series, which will conclude in Cincinnati.
