Couple Opened Fire on Burger King Over Spicy Chicken Sandwich
The last two years have seen the Chicken Sandwich Wars wage on as every fast food chain and their brother put out their own sandwich. Some have been the cause of violence, like multiple fights, stabbings, shootings, and road rage incidents in the drive-thrus. It appears that the chicken sandwiches are still a hot button issue for some people.
A couple from Memphis, Tennessee are facing attempted murder charges after police say they allegedly opened fire at a Burger King's employees. They said the incident followed a dispute “over a spicy chicken sandwich," according to a criminal complaint.
Police reported that 22-year-old Tavarus McKinney and 20-year-old Keonna Halliburton got into an argument with the workers in the restaurant after Halliburton complained her chicken sandwich was too spicy.
After the argument ended, the couple drove away. A few minutes later, their Ford Escape pulled back around to the road in front of the business, where they opened fire on the building.

Four female victims were hit by gunfire. McKinney and Halliburton were charged after multiple witnesses and victims identified them as the suspects in the June 6th shooting.
The duo are both in jail on four counts of attempted murder and four counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Halliburton is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond, and McKinney is being held on a bond of $1 million due to his long rap sheet that includes aggravated assault, kidnapping, and domestic assault charges.
