Warren Michigan

In Warren, Michigan, the police stopped a Camaro that was speeding during rush hour on Tuesday, thinking that the driver was reckless.

However, upon inspecting the vehicle, they discovered a distressed mother with her baby boy on her lap who was struggling to breathe, and the driver turned out to be the baby's uncle.

First Spot Of The Car

"Speed limits 45 well over 45, I have to say 75, 80 miles an hour," said the officer on police video.

Inside the Camaro – a frantic mom with her baby boy in her lap, can’t breathe. Behind the wheel, her brother.

"Help, help, we got a baby in here dying," said the driver inside the car.

"No, no let me see, don't take him,"

Saving The Child

The officer in charge, Fraser, performed back blows on the infant while trying to calm down the frantic mother and uncle.

"Getting them to calm down is just as important as trying to get to the baby," Fraser said.

"(I) put them on my forearm, administered a few back blows, got some saliva, and I don’t know what it was kind of regurgitate onto my arm," said Fraser.

Finally, Fraser successfully revived the baby who appeared to be choking, and the officers rushed him to the hospital, which was only a half-mile away.

"He's breathing look at him, he's okay," Fraser said on the video.

Although the reason behind the baby's distress is unclear, he was treated and declared out of danger. Fraser attributes his success in saving the baby to his training and urges others to call 911 instead of risking transport to avoid any possible complications en route.
