Here's a funny video of a man in Detroit climbing on a car and screaming when a loose GOAT approaches him.

A very bold goat is in big trouble after spending an entire day turning a Detroit west side neighborhood into his own personal amusement park. The goat, named Smoke, belongs to owner Robert Pizzimenti – though on Wednesday, Smoke seemed to prefer independence and adventure over fenced-in living.

Smoke Goes Rogue

According to Pizzimenti, Smoke escaped by hopping the fence (apparently showing off impressive vertical abilities) and took himself on a self-guided tour of the neighborhood. That’s when he ran into neighbor Dae’lan Scott, who had a hilarious reaction to the unexpected visitor.

“I go outside and I'm like ‘okay, okay… bah! bah!’ then I see Mr. Bob here come out of nowhere,” Scott said.

Not Your Average Day in Detroit

Pizzimenti says goats are usually known for being comforting animals – though he admits Smoke was more of a handful than a therapy pet that day.
“They are very calming for people… not necessarily him, but…” Pizzimenti said.

Unfortunately for Smoke’s owner, the city did not find the incident quite as entertaining. Court records show the city cited Pizzimenti for possessing a wild animal inside city limits without the proper permit. And this isn’t the first time his animals have caused trouble.

“I don't want him to walk around; he actually hopped the fence. That wasn't the idea. I do need to keep him contained,” Pizzimenti explained.

Daelan Scott and his brother, Jupiter Star, met Smokey the goat for the first time on Monday since he got loose and scared them.

Support for Urban Farming

Despite the citation, Pizzimenti hopes Detroit will recognize the value farm animals bring to the city.

“If Detroiters were allowed to farm and garden the way many of us want to, we could have the most unique city on the planet!” he said.

Other neighbors, like Maia Campbell, agree.

“I do recognize there are lots of urban farms and there are people who have goats, chickens, all sorts of animals… which is a beautiful thing for our community,” Campbell said.

Smoke Gains Neighborhood Friends

As for Scott, he says next time Smoke shows up, he’ll know exactly what to do.
“We would be cool! I know where to take him! So if anybody do see him in the neighborhood,” Scott said.
Let’s just hope Smoke doesn’t get any ideas about going for round two.
