California Deputies Release Bear From Locked Pickup Truck
The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office want to remind folks about the importance of locking your vehicle. Not because of car thefts, but a bear could get locked inside.
Someone called the authorities when the woke up to find that a bear had closed itself inside their truck overnight. The inside of the truck was completely destroyed by the animal.
Deputies were able to free the angry bear and it quickly ran off into the woods.
"Another very important reason to lock your vehicles up at night, particularly in bear country, is that bears are very adept at entering unlocked vehicles looking for food. If you are lucky, they will rummage around and leave your car relatively unharmed. But if you are unlucky as in this case, and the bear gets locked inside your car ... well, let's just say I don't think this will buff out."
