Last week, we told you about a woman who was run over and killed by her intoxicated boyfriend in Bettendorf. Now, a community wants your help to support her three young daughters.

The Duckie's Daughters Benefit will be on Sunday April 3, from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at 616 6th Ave in Erie, IL. It is in honor of the victim and will feature many events and raffles in an effort to offset caretaking costs for the victim's daughters.

You will have the option to make donations at the door if you would like and there will be a meal that will be donations only as well. All of the proceeds from this event will go to help the victim's daughters. As the Facebook event puts it, it will be "an afternoon of fun, love, and good food".

Meanwhile, the legal proceedings are continuing for the victim's boyfriend, Logan Paul Voss of Goose Lake, IA. Voss has a preliminary hearing on Friday, Feb. 25. His bond was set at $50,000 and he is facing a Class B felony charge of homicide by vehicle-operating under the influence in connection with his girlfriend's death, which could carry with it 25 years behind bars.
