Every week, we talk with Glenn Cole from Midwest Ale Works in East Moline about Quad Cities Beer!  New brews on tap, daily events & the Beer of the Week…all of which you can find on our 97X app when you search for What’s Tappening.

MAW has soo much happening this week, I wanted to take some time to make sure you knew what was happening.

  • Midwest Ale Works rednamed their flagship Kolsh style beer....Old Maud.  Stop in & find out the awesome backstory for that.
  • They tapped the “ALL TOGETHER IPA” this past Sunday! Brewed in collaboration with Bent River Brewing Company, Cat’s Cradle, Radicle Effect, and Geneseo Brewing Company!  A portion of the proceeds go toward hospitality workers in the QC's.  You can get this in 24 ounce cans at Midwest Ale Works!
  • Try their recently tapped “Decadence” beer.  This is a stout with chocolate and coconut...so, it's appropriately named, I would say.
  • The next beer in their Single Hop Pale Ale Series is now on tap! This on has “African Queen” hops in it.  This is great if you want to learn what hops do to the taste when brewing beers.  Great for newbs like me who love to learn more about beer.
  • MAW is also looking for people to shave their head on July 26th to raise funds for pediatric cancer. The Brantley Francis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission to positively influence pediatric cancer patients and their families.  Get your co-workers, family, friends, enemies, whoever...together for a great cause
