Rumspringa is a time for Amish Youth's opportunity for exploring and experimenting as they decide if they want to stay in the church, often times unfortunately involving drugs and alcohol.

Shipshewana, Indiana is a large Amish community, who saw a number of their youth arrested this weekend after a party that drew over 200 people.

Police said there were a number of 15 and 16 year olds found at the party of under the influence of drugs and alcohol. They were concerned on their arrival by the number of kids, because it's dangerous for everyone all around.

When there are so many people, they will do anything to try and escape getting in trouble with police. Officers that responded said they had teens jumping through windows and breaking out doors to run.

Police arrested over 38 people, between two parties almost next door to each other. Parents in the community said they saw all the beer cans and trash in the yards and in the road the next morning on their way to church.
